He loves to jump and we do some low level eventing. He has taught me to never give up on your goals and even though you may be a little different, if you are determined, nothing can stop you.

Sterling has saved my life in so many ways and I have been able to get through tough times in my life thanks to him. He is my #RightHorse because I know I can depend on him to understand me.

I just kept getting drawn back to him, I absolutely couldn’t stop thinking about him even though he wasn’t at all what I was looking for. Now, we’re in the running for a buckle this season.

I was excited for a challenge. I wanted to build a bond with this horse and I think he felt that way too. I couldn’t look at any other horse there; it had to be him. Soon after, I brought him home.

We marveled at what a perfect fit Dante was for us, and how we never would have connected with him had Horses Haven not transferred him to their rescue. We are forever grateful to both adoption groups.

Since then he has been stuck to my hip and has found trust in me. And I have found a friend in him. We are so blessed to have found this guy and he will forever have a home with us. Every equestrian needs a Warrior in their life.

We couldn’t have asked for a better pony. Kentucky Humane Society Equine Cares had a great process. They made sure it was a safe match and shared all the background information on her.

I just knew this was my girl. With the support of my family, who knew I wouldn’t make this decision lightly, we decided to adopt her. I cannot tell you how much joy she brings to my life, I love her to pieces!

She has picked my husband as “her person” and he loves her. We love our horses and cannot imagine life without them. We hope that we have changed their lives in the way they’ve changed ours! 

One day I was on their site and saw Gretta’s picture show up. She was a nice little mare, trotting around a round pen in the picture. She had a kind yet spirited look in her eyes and I just knew she was my horse.

Now he stands still for everything and we have started jumping! Turns out, he is a one-person horse, he won’t let anyone else on him but me. Because of that, I have decided to keep him as my forever horse!

He has shattered glass ceilings for his breed and for repurposed horses. He has given me wings and taught my to fly with the best of them. Had all of this not happened, though, I wouldn’t love him any less.
